3rd Annual Makahiki Competition: Nov. 17, 2012

The Hawaiian Civc Club of Waimanalo sponsored the 3rd Annual Makahiki Competition where traditional Hawaiian games such as ulu mauka (throwing circular stone), moa pahe'e (throwing a club), 'o'o ihe (spear throwing), kakala'au (double tip spear fighting) and hakamao (fighting on one foot) at Bellows Beach Park. These are some of the children leaving the competition ring after offering hookupu before the start of the games.
