Island Images: AUGUST 2012 [Part 1]

SEEKING JUSTICE: Samshin Salva, 16, held a framed photo of his deceased mother, Lany Salva, on Wednesday as he stood by Kamehameha Highway at Pahia Road. The 38-year-old mother of three was fatally struck there by a hit-and-run driver on the evening of Aug. 7, and her family and friends hope the driver will come forward and take responsibility. A memorial honoring Salva has been erected along the highway.
