Island Images: February 2012 [Part 2]

A groundbreaking ceremony for Edmondson Hall was held today, Feb. 28, 2012. Edmondson Hall will house key life science education and research on the University of Hawaii at Manoa campus. Renovations will consist of $15 million in improvements to existing classrooms, teaching labs and research laboratories. Specific improvements include: installation of modern fixtures and furnishings, including 64 solar hot water panels on the roof; new windows, lighting, electrical and plumbing systems; and an installation of a new fire alarm and suppression system. Target completion date is slated for July 2013.
