A replica of a Civil War-era U.S. flag flew over the grounds of Oahu Cemetery Friday to commemorate the 150th anniversary of the Battle of Gettysburg and the veterans from Hawaii who fought in the conflict. Re-enactors from the Hawaii Civil War Round Table hosted a program with talks about the battle, a recitation of President Abraham Lincoln's Gettysburg Address and a memorial at the grave of Civil War soldier Nathaniel Emerson, left. Above, re-enactors Justin Vance, left, James Armstrong and Tory Laitila chatted with Don Clegg, Edna Ellis and Nanette Napoleon, an authority on Hawaii's graveyards. Vance showed Ellis, whose great-uncle James Wood Bush served in the union navy, a 1861 Springfield rifle.
