Vans World Cup of Surfing

John John Florence of Oahu, Hawaii won his round of 64 heat at the Vans World Cup of Surfing in massive surf at Sunset Beach on Oahu’s North Shore on Thursday. Florence out-surfed his opponents netting a 7.83 followed by an excellent 8.0 barrel ride advancing in first place ahead of Matt Wilkinson, Ian Gentil and Mason Ho.
