Oshiro beats Okino in closely watched Hawaii House race

State Rep. Blake Oshiro celebrated with family and friends and his mom, Mary Oshiro, at home in Aiea Heights yesterday as he took the lead in early returns for the state House 33rd District (Halawa-Aiea). Oshiro was the main author of the civil unions bill that passed the Legislature before being vetoed by Gov. Linda Lingle this year.
