Former Maui police officer arrested and charged with sex assault

A Maui grand jury indicted former Maui police officer Lewis Gamble, 33, of Paia, on charges that include first-degree sexual assault, third-degree assault, impersonating a law enforcement officer, false reporting and kidnapping.
