Big plans ahead for Ala Moana Center

Sears, one of the original tenants when Ala Moana opened in 1959, will vacate its 340,000-square-foot site at the Ewa end of the mall in 2014. General Growth plans to expand the site with nearly 700,000 square feet of new stores.
