Rover's landing launches research for UH scientist

John Hinrichs had his fingers crossed Sunday as he watched a live NASA video of Curiosity, the Mars robotic explorer, approaching the surface of Mars. Hinrichs joined a group at the Pacific Ocean Science and Technology building at the University of Hawaii at Manoa to watch the historic landing.
