Better scrutiny sought for state funds used at private schools

The Department of Education is in a dispute with two private schools — Loveland Academy and Pacific Autism Center — that provide services to public school students. Loveland received $9.4 million from the state in the 2010-11 school year. Elena Hamm works with a student at Loveland Academy.
