Kauai fire grows to 2,000 acres; 50 percent contained

A fire that broke out shortly after midnight Thursday near Pokii Ridge in Kokee, Kauai, is not an immediate threat to structures, but power was cut off to Kokee as firefighters battle the blaze. Flames reached the base of the hillside off Kokee Road on Friday.
