Governor issues emergency proclamation as waves approach

Gov. Neil Abercrombie issued a tsunami proclamation Saturday evening asking the public not to go toward the shoreline areas. He also announced the enactment of an emergency proclamation which enables law enforcement officials to take any means available to keep people away from the shore in preparation of the expected tsunami.
