U.S. economy adds 171,000 jobs, unemployment rate rises to 7.9%

The Hogan Entrepreneurial Program at Chaminade University hosted a job preparation workshop Oct. 6 to help the homeless improve their job-seeking skills. U.S. employers added 171,000 jobs in October, and hiring was stronger in August and September than first thought, according to the latest jobs report.
