Measure of U.S. home prices rises most in 6 years

This 2,680-square-foot house in the Ewa by Gentry WoodBridge neighborhood was sold in July for $640,000. A measure of U.S. home prices jumped 5 percent in September compared with a year ago, the largest year-over-year increase since July 2006.
