Puppy breeder pleads no contest to 153 counts of animal cruelty

David Lee Becker, former manager of a Wai­ma­nalo dog breeding facility that had its animals seized due to filthy conditions, pleaded no contest to 153 counts of animal cruelty in state court Tuesday. Becker, pictured here with his lawyer Tae Won Kim, faces a maximum one-year jail sentence and $2,000 fine for each count.
