Hawaii residents can help decide airliner paint job

Hundreds of children donned their Alaska Airlines plane hats during a "Paint the Plane" event Sept. 24 at Kuhio Elementary School in Moiliili. "Paint the Plane" is a statewide art contest inviting school-aged children in Hawaii to create art honoring the unique culture of the Aloha State that will adorn an Alaska Airlines Boeing 737-800. Alaska Airlines’ “Paint the Plane” contest is now open for public voting online.
