Warning signal aims to ease dangers at Moiliili crosswalk

A pedestrian-activated warning signal is positioned above a crosswalk on South King Street near a Times supermarket, between Pawaa Lane and Hauoli Street. A McCully resident was critically injured five years ago when she was struck while in the crosswalk, which is on a stretch of South King that has seen 35 pedestrian injuries between 2007 and 2011, according to state data.
