Low temps, high surf hanging around

A high surf advisory has been extended through 6 p.m. Thursday for the north-facing shores of Oahu, Maui, Kauai, Molokai and Niihau with waves hitting 10 to 15 feet. The west-facing shores of Kauai and Niihau are also under the advisory with wave heights of 10 to 12 feet expected. Above, a surfer caught a wave at Sunset Beach on Dec. 30.
