Maui and Oahu under flash flood watch; high surf warning also issued

Beachgoers weathered today's wet conditions at the Kapahulu groin in Waikiki. A flash flood watch is in effect for Oahu through this afternoon while Maui County is under a flash flood warning through 12:30 p.m., according to the National Weather Service.
