Uptick in Indian weddings a boon for isle visitor industry

Bride Gitika Ahuja and groom Rajeev Kaul included two East Indian wedding customs in their celebration: the “mehndi ki raat,” or night of henna, and a pre-wedding party called the “sangeet,” which includes music, song and dance. The sangeet was held Jan. 31 at the Kathy Ireland estate in East Oahu. Here, Aparna and Imran Siddiqui of San Diego danced for the couple.
