Students show science skills at district fair

The second annual Hono­lulu District Science Fair, held Saturday at Kapiolani Community College, featured nearly 120 projects by more than 225 students. Above, Kalakaua Middle School student Jasmine Santiago, 13, explained her project "Smile! Wait, that's fake!" to Kevin Lye, a judge at the fair. Jasmine was the overall winner at last year's fair.
