High surf, strong tradewinds forecast for islands

An approaching northwest swell and strong tradewinds are each expected to bring large surf, prompting the National Weather Service to issue a high surf advisory for most islands. HIgh surf conditions, above, on Jan. 10 allowed for the running of the Volcom PIpeline Pro on the North Shore of Oahu.
