Article inspires gift to fix pool heater

Manoa Valley District Park pool manager William Gardner showed the pool's defunct 47-year-old water heater, which stopped working in June 2012. The center will be getting a new heater for the shower facility after a $30,000 donation from philanthropist Abigail Kawananakoa.
