A U.N. peacekeeper from the UNDOF force walked up to a watch tower at the Quneitra Crossing between Syria and the Israeli-controlled Golan Heights today. Syrian rebels freed 21 U.N. peacekeepers today after holding them hostage for four days, ending a sudden entanglement with the world body that earned fighters trying to oust President Bashar Assad a flood of negative publicity.
