Child used as prop in stroller theft

A 36-year-old Hawaii Kai woman used her daughter to shoplift a baby stroller from an Ala Moana store, police said.

Store security officers told police they observed the woman put her daughter into the stroller Wednesday afternoon and then walk away with it.

They detained the woman after she left the store and police arrested her at 5:15 p.m. for theft.
