Police find 2 young robbery suspects

Three teenage boys allegedly demanded cash from a 14-year-old boy at a Waianae park Saturday night, but police arrested two of the boys later.

The 14-year-old victim was at the park at 8:50 p.m. when three teenagers — ages 13, 14 and 15 — allegedly demanded money and then walked away after receiving cash, police said.

Officers found the 14- and 15-year-old suspects and arrested them for investigation of second-degree robbery. They are still looking for the younger boy.

Teenage purse-snatchers arrested

Two 15-year-old boys were arrested for second-degree theft Saturday after they allegedly stole a woman's purse that had been sitting in her chair in the Kapalama area, police said.

The boys allegedly took the purse at 1 p.m. and ran away. They were arrested 25 minutes later, police said.
