Manoa man arrested in 2 assaults

A Manoa man is in police custody in connection with the sexual assaults of an 18-year-old woman and a 17-year-old girl in McCully Tuesday.

Police said the two females reported that the suspect  sexually assaulted them about 6:30 a.m. Tuesday.

The 20-year-old man was arrested on McCully Street near Beretania about 8:30 a.m. on suspicion of second-degree and fourth-degree sexual assault.

South Korean man drowns at Waikiki

A 68-year-old South Korean visitor drowned early Tuesday morning in Waikiki.

Police said the unresponsive man was found in the ocean   at 3:32 a.m. He was taken to a hospital where he died. No foul play is suspected, police said.

The Honolulu Medical Examiner’s Office identified the man as Jongtae Kim of Kyung Nam, South Korea, and said an autopsy confirmed he had drowned.
