She was born in Ookala, Hawaii. She is survived by sons Charles G., Leonard "Bully" and John Costa; daughters Valerie Colprit and Karen Young; brothers Alika and Albert Maikui and Henry Pau; sisters Mahoe Eugenio, Louisa Labardora, Betty Ann Souza, Grace "Darling" Teraoka, Golden Josephs and Harriet Knight; 11 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren.
