He is survived by sons Roy, Jerry, Dennis and Norman; daughters Janet Akuna and Donna Ibera; brother Herman; sister Alma Phelps; companion Vivian Millan; 10 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. Paul Kanaina Kaelemakule Caitano Sr., 88, of Hilo, a retired construction worker for Operators Engineers Local 3, a business owner and Army veteran who served in World War II, died in Hilo Medical Center. He was born in Kaauhulu, North Kohala, Hawaii. He is survived by wife Leilani; sons Paul Jr. and Duane Caitano and Jeffrey and Brett "Bradah" Carter; hanai son Guy Fukushima; daughters Janice "Iwalani" Brawner, Catherine "Lulu" Stevens and Michelle Martines; sisters Maraea Rosehill and Elizabeth Chang; 24 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
