All that remains of the road signs on utility poles along a portion of Kamaaha Avenue in Kapolei is a red circle with a slash, the universal symbol for “No.” However, motorists can only guess at what is kapu since the wording is faded. They might be No Parking signs, since other signs along the avenue have a “P” under the red slashed circle.

Notre Dame alumnus Justin Figueredo raised glasses with fellow Fighting Irish alumni and friends Monday before the start of the BCS national championship, Notre Dame vs Alabama, at Murphy's Bar and Grill in downtown Honolulu.
