He is survived by sons Paul A.K. and Thomas C.H.K., daughters Paulette R.S.K. Stublefield and Michelle L.Y.L. Duchateau, five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. He was also an Army and Hawaii National Guard veteran who served during the Korean and Vietnam wars, and a Purple Heart recipient. He was born in Laupahoehoe, Hawaii. He is survived by wife Theresa, son Kaleo, daughter Agnes Barrozo, hanai sons Joel Victor and Erik Warner, sisters Annie Mokiau and Mary Reyes, and four grandchildren.
