He was born in Paoay, Ilocos Norte, Philippines. He is survived by sons Roland, George and Claurino; daughters Cristeta Macalma, Cleo Kovarik and Phebe Johnson; brothers Narciso and Isidro; sisters Connie Dela Cruz and Aida Cristobal; and 12 grandchildren.
