Antone Rente Arruda, 96, of Kapaa, Kauai, a retired Lihue Plantation blacksmith and a pineapple farmer and rancher, died at home. He was born in Kealia, Kauai. He is survived by daughter Caroline Franklin, brother John, sisters Florence Carvalho and Lydia Rodrigues, six grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Visitation: 10 a.m. Friday at St. Catherine Church, Kealia. Mass: 11 a.m. Burial to follow at the church cemetery.
