» House Bill 2596 to fund air conditioning in public schools did not meet the deadline for measures to move from the state House to the Senate and is no longer alive in this session. The $25 million appropriation for air conditioning is still in the state's budget bill, however. A Page A21 story Friday said HB 2596 was to be heard by the House Finance Committee.

» The Native Hawaiian Roll Commission has gathered 107,039 names for an official registry of Hawaiians. A Page A23 story Friday reported that the registry had 170,000 names.
