Delegations fill Waikiki hotels and meeting locations

APEC BUSINESS ADVISORY COUNCIL CONFERENCE
» When: Tuesday to Thursday
» Where: Sheraton Waikiki Hotel and The Royal Hawaiian
» Highlights: Fourth meeting for 2011 for the private sector body that presents recommendations to APEC leaders and advises APEC officials on business sector priorities and concerns.

APEC SENIOR FINANCE MINISTRIES MEETING
» When: Tuesday
» Where: Hawai‘i Convention Center
» Highlights: Senior finance officials from the APEC nations meet to discuss regional financial issues.

APEC CONCLUDING SENIOR OFFICIALS MEETING
» When: Tuesday, Wednesday
» Where: Hawai‘i Convention Center
» Highlights: Final meeting of senior officials preparing for the APEC ministerial meetings. Senior officials help organize and guide the upcoming APEC ministers and economic leaders meetings.

ASIA-PACIFIC BUSINESS SYMPOSIUM
» When: Wednesday, Thursday
» Where: Waikiki Beach Marriott Resort & Spa
» Highlights: Hawaii business, government and community leaders meet with international business leaders to discuss various topics including overseas investment, green growth strategies and regional energy challenges. Cost is $375.

APEC FINANCE DEPUTIES MEETING
» When: Wednesday
» Where: Hawai‘i Convention Center
» Highlights: Deputy finance ministers from the APEC members will meet in advance of the next day's Finance Ministerial Meeting.

APEC BUSINESS ADVISORY COUNCIL'S SMALL AND MEDIUM ENTERPRISE SYMPOSIUM
» When: Thursday
» Where: Halekulani Hotel
» Highlights: Panel discussions on free trade, global market opportunities for small- and medium-size businesses, regulatory concerns for trade.
» Registration: Costs $150 and includes full access to the symposium, parking at the Halekulani Hotel, lunch and refreshments.

» Where: Sheraton Waikiki
» Highlights: President Barack Obama, President Hu Jintao of China, President Dmitry Medvedev of Russia and other APEC leaders are expected to join the world's top CEOs for discussions on business issues.

APEC MINISTERIAL MEETING
» When: Friday
» Where: Hawai‘i Convention Center
» Highlights: U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton and U.S. Trade Representative Ron Kirk will co-host this meeting of top foreign, economic and trade officials of the APEC member nations.

APEC 2011 LEADERS' RECEPTION AND DINNER
» When: Saturday
» Where: Hale Koa Hotel
» Highlights: President Barack Obama will host the gathering of the top leaders of the APEC members at a reception and dinner, which will provide a showcase for Hawaii's cultural heritage.

APEC ECONOMIC LEADERS' MEETING
» When:Sunday
» Where: Ihilani JW Marriott Hawaii Hotel at Ko Olina
» Highlights: President Barack Obama will host the leaders of the APEC nations in the culminating gathering of the week's events. The leaders will discuss regional issues, including trade and economic cooperation, and also pose for a group picture.

NORTH AMERICAN LEADERS' SUMMIT
» When: Sunday
» Where: Ko Olina
» Highlights: After the APEC Summit concludes, President Barack Obama will host Prime Minister Stephen Harper of Canada and President Felipe Calderon of Mexico to discuss North American regional issues.
