By Star-Advertiser Staff

Police arrested today a 51-year-old Honolulu man who allegedly drove off after hitting a 5-year-old girl in Waipahu.

The girl was hit on Pupupuhi Street about 5 p.m. and sustained a broken right arm, but was listed in good condition, police said.

Officers located the vehicle and arrested the driver at his home on suspicion of failure to render aid, said Sgt. Alan Vegas of the police traffic division.
