Man arrested in Waikiki robbery attempt

Police said officers arrested a 27-year-old man in a failed attempt to steal another man's shoulder bag in Waikiki last night.
The victim, 29, was walking along Liliuokalani Avenue near Kuhio Avenue around 11:30 when the suspect attempted to grab his shoulder bag. After a brief struggle, the suspect let go of the bag and walked away.
The victim followed and called police, who arrested the suspect on suspicion of second-degree robbery.
