California extortion fugitive arrested in Honolulu

A man wanted in California for alleged attempted extortion was arrested by U.S. marshals in Honolulu Friday afternoon.

Robert John Krafft, 28, was wanted by the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department after he allegedly offered a sheriff department employee money in exchange for his release during a drug arrest last year October.

Krafft was also wanted for numerous narcotics violations and is suspected in a string of burglaries in Malibu, Calif. Krafft is detained in Honolulu pending extradition back to Los Angeles.
