Firefighters, helicopters battling Waianae brush fire

Firefighters battled a rapidly spreading brush fire on Navy land in Waianae today, but no homes are threatened.
Eleven Honolulu fire companies, five water tanker trucks and three federal fire trucks are on scene off Lualualei Naval Road. Military and Honolulu Fire Department helicopters are helping fight the blaze.
Honolulu firefighters were called to the scene at 9:36 a.m.
