Waipahu student, 14, arrested for alleged assault on teacher

A 14-year Waipahu High School student was arrested yesterday morning after allegedly attacking a teacher.
The male student was being counseled by the teacher just after 9 a.m. when he allegedly pushed the 48-year-old man in the chest.
A 57-year-old man witnessed the attack and followed the student out of the classroom and was hit by the suspect with an umbrella, according to police.
The student was arrested for suspicion of assault and released pending investigation.
