Electricity restored to about 1,000 Waipahu customers

Power was out for about 1,000 customers in the “Pupu” area of Waipahu for about an hour late this morning.

The outage began about 11:15 a.m. and ended about 12:20 p.m., said Darren Pai, spokesman for Hawaiian Electric.
