Man arrested for allegedly robbing girlfriend at a Kapolei restaurant

Police arrested a 20-year-old man who allegedly beat his girlfriend and took her wallet yesterday in Kapolei.  

The man was arguing with the 19-year-old woman at Pizza Hut, 91-590 Farrington Highway in Kapolei, about 2 p.m., police said. 

He allegedly physically abused her and then took cash, an ATM card, an ID card and fled on foot. 

The woman sustained minor injuries. 

Officers found the man, of no local address, at a home on Ualakupu Street in Kapolei about 4 p.m.

He was arrested on suspicion of second-degree robbery.
