Sewage spills into Kalihi Stream

A wastewater discharge into a storm drain prompted the state Health Department to warn people to stay out of Kalihi Stream from 1457 Ahonui St. to adjacent waters in Keehi Lagoon.
The department's Clean Water Branch said about 1,175 gallons spilled out of a manhole due to a line clogged from grease on Saturday.
City crews posted warning signs along the affected areas.
