UCLA sweeps Hawaii in volleyball

No. 5 Hawaii, playing without star opposite Jonas Umlauft, was swept by No. 8 UCLA tonight in the finale of the Outrigger Hotels Invitational men's volleyball tournament at the Stan Sheriff Center.

Weston Dunlap put down 10 kills to lead the Bruins (5-1) to a 25-19, 25-14, 25-21 victory and their sixth OHVI title as they went undefeated in the three-night event.

Joshua Walker led the Warriors (0-3) with seven kills.

Umlauft, out with a stomach virus, was named to the all-tournament team.

Also named all-tournament were Penn State's Joe Sunder, selected the most outstanding player, Edgardo Goas and Dennis Del Valle. From UCLA, Jeremy Casebeer and Weston Dunlap were chosen, and Ball State's Dominic Spadavecchio.

Penn State (2-1) swept Ball State (2-2) 25-19, 25-21, 25-20 to take second place.
