Rain is in the forecast for Kauai and Oahu today as a cold front, which stalled overnight, is still expected to move over the islands today.

The rain clouds ahead of the front have the potential for occasional heavy showers, forecasters said.

The forecast for Oahu calls for partly sunny skies with scattered showers. Highs are predicted to be in the 80s with south winds of 15 to 29 mph.

The chance of rain is 50 percent.

The cold front is expected to stall over Oahu tomorrow and weaken. The chance of rain is also 50 percent tomorrow and scattered showers are predicted for Tuesday and Wednesday.

Another cold front may move in later in the week.
