Housekeeper foils burglary at Waikiki resort

A 31-year-old man who allegedly robbed a hotel room in a Waikiki resort yesterday afternoon was arrested after he was confronted by a housekeeper, police said.

The man allegedly stole several items and fled but was detained by hotel security following the 1:45 p.m. theft, police said.

Police officers allegedly found the stolen items on the man and arrested him on suspicion of second-degree burglary.
