A 19-year-old robbery suspect who was captured by hotel workers at the Waikiki Beach Marriott Resort & Spa remained in custody unable to post $25,000 bail.

Jeffrey Duket, who gave police the address of St. Augustine Church - 130 Ohua Avenue - as his home address, was charged with unauthorized entry into a motor vehicle, second-degree robbery, harassment, disorderly conduct, and a drug offense. His bail was set at $25,000.

Police said Duket allegedly hid in the back seat of a vehicle and attacked a 39-year-old valet who was retrieving the vehicle for a hotel guest about 8:30 p.m. Monday.

The attacker demanded money but fled when the valet broke free during a struggle, police said. Co-workers responded to the man's call for help and caught the suspect after a short foot chase across the street to St. Augustine Church, police said.
