Man arrested for allegedly breaking windshield of moving car

Police arrested a 41-year-old man with no local address after he allegedly shattered the windshield of a moving car last night in Ala Moana.

A 55-year-old man told police he was driving when another man unexpectedly threw a metal object at the windshield, shattering it and causing him minor injuries about 10:15 p.m., police said.

The driver was treated at the hospital and released.

Officers located the alleged assailant at Piikoi Street and Ala Moana Boulevard and booked him on suspicion of first-degree criminal property damage.
