Kalihi man arrested for allegedly assaulting family member

Honolulu police arrested a 39-year-old man Thursday for allegedly assaulting a family member several times in Kalihi.
Police said the suspect first hit the victim, a 30-year-old woman, while they were traveling in car at 8 a.m. Tuesday morning.
The argument continued at the victim's home and the suspect hit the woman again inflicting multiple injuries.
A charge of second-degree assault also was included when the suspect was arrested at 12:50 a.m. Thursday.
