Kauai opens evacuation centers

Kauai schools and centers have been opened as holding areas for visitors and others who must evacuate tsunami inundation zones. The following schools are currently open:
>> North shore: Kilauea Elementary, Kilauea Neighborhood Center
>> East side: Kapaa Elementary, Kapaa Middle and Kapaa High School
>> Central: Lihue Neighborhood Center, King Kaumualii Elementary, Wilcox Elementary, Kauai High School and Chiefess Kamakahelei Middle School
>> South: Koloa Elementary School, Kalaheo Elementary School and Kalaheo Neighborhood Center
>> West: Eleele Elementary and Waimea High School
